Andre R. Nunn, M.D., FACS

Dr. Nunn is a bariatric and general surgeon. He has been in practice since 1995. Dr. Nunn has served as a clinical professor of surgery at Wayne State University.  He won the Wayne State Department of Surgery Theodore McGraw Clinical Teaching Award in 2001. Dr. Nunn was also honored as one of Detroit Hour magazine’s “Top Doctors in Detroit” in 2003.  He is not only a surgeon, though; he is a former bariatric patient himself. As such, he knows what it’s like to be overweight and have medical problems related to it.

At a time when the medical profession is getting increasingly impersonal, Dr. Nunn stands out as refreshingly different. With every one of his patients comes a new success story, and a reminder that a successful state-of-the-art surgeon can also be a genuinely caring human being.
